Things to Know for Bike to the Beat: Track 4

This webpage is full of important things you need to know, to ensure you have a great time with us at Bike to the Beat! Please read through the details carefully and pass them along to anyone who is riding with you (in case they don’t receive the email for some reason).

First things first: helmets are required and must be worn at all times while you are cycling. This includes children who are passengers (bike trailers, bike seats, etc.). As often as you can, please ride single file. Remember, this isn’t a race; it’s just a bike ride.

Course Information

Each participant will be given a paper course map aka “cue sheet” at packet pick-up. The course will also be marked with mile numbers, turn signals, cones, and arrows. If you feel like going a little further than you planned or maybe not quite as far, we can roll with that! Ride as much or as little as you’d like.

Important: The course closes promptly at 2 PM and will no longer be supported by Bike to the Beat staff. Please make an effort to return one of the finish lines before 2 PM (complimentary food & drink service also ends at this time). Also, please take note of the operating times for each individual music/food stop below in this email.

Bike Unloading

We’re anticipating a big turnout for Bike to the Beat on Saturday. To ease traffic congestion and encourage safety, please park your vehicle first, unload your bike, and then ride your bike to the starting area. For those starting their ride at Woodward Radio Group, please see the recommended path in our parking map.

Parking – Ride Day

For those beginning their ride at Woodward, please see this parking map for recommended parking for ride day. Please note the paths we’re asking you to take on your bikes to get to the start of the ride at Woodward (depending on where you park).

For those beginning your ride from Donald Schneider Stadium in De Pere, there is ample parking available in the stadium lot.

Complimentary Bike Corral

While you’re hanging out at the Appleton or De Pere start/finish (whether for packet pick-up or if you’re watching the music performances), we’ve got a spot for your bike! For extra security, we do recommend that you bring a bike lock. The corral at Woodward will be supervised, however the corral at Donald Schneider Stadium will not.

Bag & Tag

Supervised bag & tag is only available at Woodward Radio, in the bike corral where you can leave your items in a bag and we will mark the bag with your bib number. These bags will be secured.

Participant T-Shirts

If you’d like to exchange your t-shirt for a different size (it must be unworn), we ask that you wait to do so until after the ride, in our registration tent.
